Renovation of the Great Dane space in Downtown Madison was due to a desire to update the 1994 original pool hall located in a historic downtown building.
Phase 1 renovations consisted of the Pool Hall only. The design included a complete bar and back bar redesign, revitalization of existing wood floors and adding tile accent around the bar, new wall finishes throughout including brick and wallcovering, as well as lighting and signage updates. The Great Dane’s desire was to maintain true to their German pub feel, but update and modernize that concept.
